Oh, Jane. What can I say? I think you win the award for happiest baby ever! I’m not kidding! Even when your mommy said you were a little under the weather at our shoot, you were still flashing your little dimples and smiles every chance you got!
Little Miss Jane turned 1 this past January, and her mom contacted me back in December to get the ball rolling on ideas of her 1st birthday shoot. She said that they had a “wall of Jane” with other photos from her birth and 6 month sessions, and wanted to add the perfect 1 year old photo. During the consults, her parents told me that they’re not really into the typical “cake smash” shoots. No worries there! We decided to go with a couple simple, classic looks and let little Jane steal the show. And boy, did she ham it up for us!
We started our shoot with a pretty pink theme. Jane showed off her new frilly pink dress and white shoes for me. It didn’t take long at all for her to warm up to the camera at all. LOOK at these smiles she gave us! (Thanks to Jane’s daddy for providing singing and dancing entertainment for all of us.)
You should have seen mom’s face when she first laid eyes on this photo. If was like the personification of the heart eyes emoji. You know the one I’m talking about. You can just tell how much she loves her little girl, and it’s heartwarming. She ordered a nice desk print so she can have that smile looking at her every day! That’ll make any work day brighter, I’d think.
“Oh, don’t mind me. I’m just here being super adorable. Do you like my new dress?”
Then Jane wanted to show me what a big girl she is and how she can totally rock out in her turquoise rocking chair! “Yay for turning 1!” This color combination is so fun and pretty! Her parents chose this image for a really unique acrylic block and the colors really popped in the final product!
Now what happens when you have TWO beautiful dresses that you can’t decide between? Well, the obvious answer is that you wear them both! Doesn’t Jane look like a little doll?
The little birthday girl also enjoyed playing with a balloon. It really is all about the simple pleasures in life!
But the job of being an adorable model is kind of taxing. Little Jane let us know when she was spent. 🙂
Annnnnnnnd, she is done-zo.
Thank you so much to Kate and Steve for choosing ADP to photograph your little one’s first birthday. It was truly and honor and a pleasure for me.
